Confronting the separation of self from authentic identity presents an opportunity to discover the existence of detachment from one's particular reality. The decapitated body, luscious and gloriously hued, seems to be reaching into the vulnerable apex. This is a hotly illuminated locus of bared cast shadows on flesh against the celestial blue. The bars imply a barrier to exploration of self and the beautiful color is intentionally seductive, a promise of pleasure. Why is the head replaced by an eruption of reproductive matter? The introspection, search takes a risk. If self exploration reveals that what our culture teaches is ugly then there are questions of acceptance. If there is no attempt at discovery then there is no realized potential.
